My research moves between painting and drawing, with threedimensional contaminations. I intend to investigate interiority, its shadows, the most hidden corners of consciences, things and nonsense as a place where unusual realities spring up. My pictorial question is not explicit but veiled and shown as a mysterious story, made up of implications and allusions. Moments suspended between the present and the future is added to our symbolic world. Sometimes they are situations that refer to mottos and proverbs, fairy tales and premonitions, to a popular imagination inhabited by spirits and ancient fears; sometimes they are hypnagogic somnolence, an alternative reality to those of the state of consciousness or fragments of everyday life. The characters they represent are very often teenagers or in any case, even if they observe adults, they have attitudes attributable to that phase of life, identified by a physical and feeling transition, where desires, anxieties, solitude and anger evolve more desperate and uncontrolled. They have an incorrect or paradoxical relationship with the environment- non-place that surrounds them, fears materialize, imaginary presences, abandon themselves to moments of illusion, paralysis, destruction. Childhood and adolescence become incisive as a metaphor for expressing a human condition of constant anxiety, imbued with opposing feelings. The supports of my paintings are mainly canvas and paper, then also clay and papier-mâché sculpture, I always look for a close relationship between me and the real space. The space is transformed into a place where it materializes, in its most problematic points mysterious events materialize.
