Edoardo Caimi
(Milan, 1989)
Bio / CV / Artworks
Edoardo Caimi, (b.1989, Milan) lives and works between Lodi and Milan, Italy.
Caimi's artistic exploration delves into the juxtapositions of contemporary and primitive elements, highlighting the tension between the technological and the tribal, the consumerist society and nature. His work serves as a visual commentary on the collision of these worlds within the context of a modern imaginary steeped in visions of disaster.
Drawing inspiration from suburban and rural periphery cultures, Caimi incorporates practices like graffiti and utilizes a mix of industrial materials and natural elements, which are woven into cosmogonic and survivalist narratives, providing a framework through which he reimagines the contemporary era within the specter of catastrophe.
The artist's practice serves as a reflection on the complexities of our modern existence, where the allure of technological advancement clashes with primal instincts and the innate connection to nature. Through his work, Edoardo Caimi prompts viewers to reconsider their relationship with the environment and the consequences of human intervention on the natural world.

Once you greased with goose fat. You could scare, apparently becoming more frightening, or you could immediately protect yourself from the cold..."
